An appointment can be made to see Dr. Welsh for Sports
Injuries, including Strains and Sprains, Neck and Back pain,
Knee, Ankle and Shoulder pain, and Pre-participation fitness
screening for prevention of injury.

Dr. Peter Welsh has completed
four years of post graduate study and has a Masters of
Sports Medicine (UNSW).
He has worked with various sporting organisiations and was
Medical Officer for the Queensland A Rugby side in 2003.
Currently He is a Medical Officer for Surf Lifesaving
Australia and Regional Medical Officer for Queensland
Academy of Sport.
Dr Welsh has been heavily involved in Rugby League, both as
a player and team doctor and he also has a special interest in
swimming
injuries, having completed his thesis on 'swimmers
shoulder'.
Whilst many of Dr. Welsh's patients are elite athletes, he
also treats recreational sportspersons and children,
providing evaluations and treatment for sports injuries.
He takes a team approach by liaising with physiotherapists,
and sports coaches and trainers.
His aim is to see his patients return to their chosen
activities as quickly as possible without compromising their
health. |
